About this service

Registering the place of residence is a required step after the permit is issued, and there are 30 days for it. The application goes to an administrative service centre, and the owner of the property has to be present. The result is a certificate that banks, the tax office and the Migration Service all ask for.

More in the knowledge base: How does a foreigner get a tax number (IPN) in Ukraine?

Frequently asked questions

How long is there to register after the permit is issued?+

Thirty days. It is a condition of lawful residence and a missed deadline risks a fine, so we take the registration on straight after the card is issued.

Does the owner really have to be there?+

Yes. The form is issued at the centre and filled in on the spot, and the owner confirms consent in person. We arrange the time so that it is one short visit.

What if the property is rented?+

You need a lease the centre will accept and the owner's consent. We check the lease in advance — redoing it after a refusal takes longer than preparing it properly.

Can the address be registered before the permit is issued?+

No. At the service centre a foreigner presents the permit together with the passport, so registration follows the card. The thirty days are counted from that point.

How much is the state charge?+

It is an expense, not a fee: the amount depends on when the application is filed. We calculate it for your case and prepare the receipt; it is not part of the price of the service.

What if I move to another address?+

The new one has to be registered. The procedure is the same: documents for the new property, the owner's consent and a visit to the service centre for that address.
