About this service
Permit data is tied to the passport, so after a new passport, a change of surname or of address it has to be updated. The application goes to the administrative service centre for the address; some changes instead require a separate notice to the Migration Service.
More in the knowledge base: How does a foreigner get a tax number (IPN) in Ukraine?Who it is for
- Foreigners with a new passport
- Anyone whose surname or other data has changed
- Anyone who has changed address
What documents are needed
- Residence permit
- Passport
- The document confirming the change
What it gives you
- The register matches the passport — later applications no longer stall on the discrepancy
- Clarity on where to go: the service centre or a separate application to the Migration Service
- One visit instead of several
- The data checked after the update, not filed and forgotten
How we work
Full support. You hand over the documents, we do the rest.
At every stage one lawyer runs your case, reachable at any time.
What it costs
The fee is fixed in the contract before the work starts. Case expenses are paid separately.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from notifying the Migration Service?+
They are different applications to different authorities, needed in different situations. At the consultation we look at your case and say what is required — sometimes both.
What happens if I do not update it?+
The mismatch between your passport and the register surfaces at the next step: renewing the permit, other paperwork, the bank. Updating now is cheaper.
How long does it take?+
Usually a day. Longer only when the change first has to be confirmed by a document you do not have yet.
I have a new passport. Does the permit itself have to be replaced?+
Not always: some changes are entered into the data, others require the card to be exchanged. We look at your documents and tell you which case it is before filing.
Only the address has changed — is that the same application?+
No, that is registering the place of residence at the new address, a separate procedure at the service centre. The two are often done together, and we plan your visit that way.
I have already filed somewhere with the old details. What now?+
Tell us straight away: sometimes it is enough to submit the document confirming the change, sometimes the application has to be filed again. Settling it before the decision is cheaper than after a refusal.
