About this service
The Ukrainian criminal record certificate is issued by the Interior Ministry. To be filed with a foreign authority it usually also has to be apostilled and translated, so the document's route is worth planning before it is ordered.
More in the knowledge base: How does a foreigner get a tax number (IPN) in Ukraine?Who it is for
- Foreigners who have stayed or are staying in Ukraine
- Anyone whose consulate or foreign authority asks for it
- Anyone filing for status in Ukraine
What documents are needed
- Passport
- Residence permit, if any
- A power of attorney if we act for you
What it gives you
- The certificate in the form the authority asking for it will accept
- The apostille and translation planned in advance, not after the document is in hand
- It can be ordered without you being in Ukraine
- One person handling the document's whole route
How we work
Full support. You hand over the documents, we do the rest.
At every stage one lawyer runs your case, reachable at any time.
What it costs
The fee is fixed in the contract before the work starts. Case expenses are paid separately.
Converted from US dollars at the National Bank rate of 07.09.2026, rounded down to the hundred.
- Preparing and filing the request with the Interior Ministry
- Collecting the certificate
- Apostille or legalisation where it is going abroad
- Translation where a foreign authority is the recipient
The price is the lawyer's work. State duties, notary, translations and insurance are paid separately: those amounts depend on your case.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the certificate valid?+
The authority asking for it sets that, and it differs from procedure to procedure. We check before filing so the certificate does not expire on the way.
Does it need an apostille?+
If it is going abroad, usually yes, and it depends on the destination country. We will look at your case and say which route applies.
Can it be ordered from abroad?+
Yes, under a power of attorney. We prepare it and run the case without you being in Ukraine.
How long does it take?+
It depends on the authority and on whether an apostille and a translation are needed afterwards. So at the consultation we quote the time for the whole route, not just for the certificate.
Can I order it once I have left Ukraine?+
Yes, we apply under a power of attorney. All we need from you is the passport details and the executed power of attorney.
Is a translation needed?+
If the document goes to a foreign authority — usually yes, and the language depends on the country. We do the translation together with the apostille so the document does not travel twice.
