How do I start legalizing in Ukraine?+
By determining your legal ground of stay: work, study, family, business or investment. It defines whether a type D visa is needed and which package to file with the Migration Service. The fastest way to decide is a free consultation.
How much does a residence permit cost?+
Costs include the state fee, the permit blank, translations, insurance and (optionally) legal support. The exact amount depends on the ground; the turnkey service starts at UAH 8,800.
Can I work in Ukraine without a work permit?+
Usually no: official employment requires a permit to employ a foreigner, obtained by the employer. Some categories (e.g. permanent residence holders) are exempt.
How long can I stay in Ukraine without a visa?+
Under the 90/180 rule — no more than 90 days in any 180. To stay longer, you obtain a residence permit on a legal ground.
What is the difference between a visa, a permit and PRP?+
A visa grants entry, a temporary residence permit lets you live in Ukraine for more than 90 days (usually 1 year, renewable), and PRP means indefinite residence and the right to work without a permit.
What to do if the Migration Service refuses?+
A refusal is issued in writing with its grounds. It can be fixed and refiled, or appealed — by an administrative complaint or through court. We assess the prospects at the consultation.
